NOTICE to put parents and teacher's minds at ease:

We are proud to be practicing members of this fine educational group of dedicated dog trainers.
www.georgiapet.org We are responsible since 2007 for the creation and maintenance of this Humane Society website for our local shelter. We alsorepresent our shelter by posting these dogs on PetFinder.com so that as many folks as possible can see these wonderful available pets. www.deltasociety.org This organization has nationwide evaluators who test applying dog/handler teams for registration with them. Those who come to them for "Pet Partner" registrations must be tested locally, both the person with a written test and the dog/handler with two practical tests. Max and I are registered with Delta Society for "complex" environments.

We are members of the Great Pyrenees Club of America. We are also members of our local Valdosta, Ga. Kennel Club, linked below. http://www.onofrio.com/jodstwo/clubs/ABCbystate/states/ abcga/vald.html
www.offa.org Since 2005, all
of our Great Pyrenees dog's hips, knees, and elbows have been evaluated
by the Orthopedic Foundation of Animals. This registry has database too
that is open for public viewing by typing in the dog's registered name.
Our registered kennel name is "Heartlivestock's", but have also used
the name Heartlivestock at the end of our dog's names. www.therapyanimals.org This group began the R.E.A.D.(R) program. It was
originally begun as a library read-to-dogs "Animal Assisted Activity"
program with some dedicated volunteer handlers and their dogs.We took their certification course and found that they had many great ideas.
